The EU faces an increasing pressure on external borders with a growing number of asylum seekers. European migration and asylum policy is a top priority for the Cyprus EU Presidency. How does the EU deal with immigration challenges? How can the EU develop common migration and asylum policies, when Mediterranean and Northern member states face different challenges? And how does the EU cooperate with third countries on migration issues?
