Star are formed by gas and dust clouds, which becomes more and more dense in the center and eventually becomes so compact that it collapses into a ball of burning gas - a star is born. The remnants of the gas and the dust cloud rotate in a disc around the newly formed star and the elements begin to accumulate into larger and larger clumps. The clumps grow and gradually the first small protoplanets are formed. They grow and become planets. A new solar system with planets is formed.
