Formation of an ultra-diffuse galaxy in computer simulation

The movie shows the formation of an ultra-diffuse galaxy in computer simulation, following its gas component. Several outflows (fountain) of gas being launched out of the galaxy centre are visible through the life of the galaxy , which are responsible for creating an expanded stellar and dark matter distribution.
